I just bought an O2 Xphone/Voyager online at www.bidshot.com. Second hand one month old. Unlocked (SIM and application) and it came with the O2 ROM instead of the Smart (locked) ROM. I have been using it for two days now, and NOT ONE LOCKUP, CRASH, or FREEZE!!!! I used to love my SAP1, but I sold it after I couldnt stand waiting and waiting, or having to take out the battery again and again. Battery life is much better, and I have loaded many 2002 apps on it, that seem to work fine. I think Orneta Notepad is the only one I tried that didn't work so far. Oh yes, MS Theme generator isnt working right either, since it's for smartphone 2002, not 2003 as far as I can tell. GPRS and internet browsing and MSN all work fine, but when trying to setup MMS, the menus do not have many fields that come with the Smart ROM, so I cant seem to make it work. The MMS setup is in its own seperate folder, not in accessories, and only has options for MMSC and WAP gateway settings, with nothing for port number. Anyone has one working with MMS yet?

MMS Configuration is much easier...

Just name an entry in your Data and Communications part of your settings and plug in the entries in there. Select that connection type in the MMS Settings and that's it!.

I used to have an open Smart Amazing Phone.  Opened SAPs cannot be MMS configured to work locally.

Just ask your carrier.

I got my MMS, GPRS, SMS, WAP and all working just fine with both Smart and Globe on my openline O2Xphone. I just made a GPRS connection called MMS Connection and pointed my MMS settings to it (WORK) and that did it. The MMS settings in an O2Xphone are a bit different so it took some fiddling about...

good job. the thing about smartphones is though sometimes the settings are correct, it would not function right. when i was creating MMS settings for Smart and Globe, I had to do it over and over again inputting the same parameters and try and try and try. until alas, i can easily shift from one setting to the other when i have to change SIM. i posted that somewhere here i think. i don't really understand that behavior of the phone. it's weird... really weird.
