Just a quick note I spoke to one of my AT&T TR's and I now know that AT&T singed the MPX220 5 days ago so its out here in the US but it will be shipped to all the stores withing 2-3 weeks or earlier :) I also asked about price $$ and AT&T did not disclose out a price yet but it might be around $300-400 :x but the good news is that its out very soon

It's out October 15th for Cingular via Best Buy. The price tags are already up in my Best Buy store and the wireless manager told me he had them in stock but couldn't sell them till the 15th. The store is on 86th and Lexington in Manhattan.

Given that the date constantly keeps getting extended may be an indicator that it could be as late as December. Any guesses as to its premiere date are pretty premature right now. On the other hand October 15th seems to be going consensus, and I did receive an email in response to registering for updates on the motorola webpage (I'm sure most of you did) that said it was coming soon...That would seem to lend to my theory that it will be released early Q4 for Christmas shoppers.

It is already out in Fullerton, CA at the Best Buy store. I've picked mine up, and I am having problems configuring to the Cingular Settings. I might be putting them in wrong. I'm trying to be real patient with it.

I don't mean to doubt anyone's integrity, but explain to me how it is that there seems to be only 1 or 2 Best Buy's in a small area in CA that are selling these phones?

The other oddity is that these phones are supposed to be Cingular branded, right? Best Buy is a Cingular authorized dealer, right? Why is it that everyone is having trouble with the Cingular settings? Shouldn't the phone already be setup to work on Cingular's voice/data network? I think that if I paid several hundred dollars for a phone from a store like Best Buy, I would take it back and make Best Buy make it work.

Don't tell me it's because they are not locked, that has nothing to do with how the phone is setup when it leaves the store.

Call me cynical, but I would be wary of buying a Cingular branded phone from anyone that is supposed to be an authorized Cingular dealer that didn't actually work on the Cingular network.

All Best Buys in Cali have the phone...unless they have sold out. The phone was advertised in the Cali circular on Sunday. Check out the attachment.

Peace!
