Guest spinex
Hi, I just have an idea... Anyway - why not to replace only the cell inside (inside the battery)? There is a lot of Nokia, SonyEricsson, Siemens batteries that are similar to SPV (by size-dimensions) and the best are like 1500mAh and 1600mAh - some of them are Li-Polymer! My request: does someone have a spare (or broke) SPV battery that he can open and see what is inside and then post some images or info? Coz I need dimensions of cell inside the spv battery and I need to know if the cell itself has only + and - HELP!
Guest pisquee
The battery itself has four connectors to the phone, so I would expect a + and - voltage with a centre 0V connection. Or maybe two seperate + supplys.
Guest awarner [MVP]
What you are suggesting is dangerous and can cause a potential fire hazzard. lithium batteries are not the most stable of devices and unless you know about the composition and handling I would seriously advise against playing with them. Oh please! What I'm suggesting is really safe if you know how to open a battery, which is very very simple... And of course I'm talking about opening plastic battery cover NOT THE CELL INSIDE THAT PLASTIC COVER! I recently opened Nokia 6150 battery, which also has 4 connectors. What I realised was that cell inside has oly 2 connectors - + and - And cell inside was really well protected and there was no way for damaging it! And I had no problems at all in opening it... I'll post images as soon as possible.
Guest awarner [MVP]
No need to shout or be cynical, I was trying to help. If you want to show your ignorance of batteries then carry on, there is more to it than just swapping cells
