Guest Michael95GT
I've managed to put BlackJack, Bejeweled, and UnderWorld on it and they play fine. Apparently WAP is the only way to do it! Motorola Vxxx series games work great. Sorry if this has allready been posted, I'm new here. ^_^
Guest gsr264
What do you mean? you have to download them?
Guest Michael95GT
Yes, I've tried sticking them in assorted different folders and installing them. No Go! Downloading is also the only way the owners manual mentions also.

Guest gsr264
So you can only download THIER apps? Wonder if it would be possible to post apps you already have and download them directly through wap...
Guest Michael95GT
No, they don't have to be "Motorola apps" the BlackJack game isn't Moto. Those are just the only ones I had access to. Yeah, you should be able to post them to a site then download them via wap, just be sure to post both the Jad and Jar files.

Guest McHale
That should work. I only have .jar files, will that work? I dont know much about java...is there a way to convert them? To create .jad files when you only have the .jar, use this. This is not an installed app, just run the .exe and drag the .jar file to it. It auto-creates it in the same directory. Ahhh.. the benefits from hacking Nokia these past few years. Who said it wouldn't come in handy?! -McJad Generator NEW.exe
Guest gsr264
Mchale, do me a favor try to convert a .jar to a .jad an run it through smart explorer using the java app to open it. See if that will work, I left my phone at home.
Guest McHale
I'm not running Smart Explorer, just the standard file explored that it came with. It didn't work with the file explorer but I will install Smart Explorer and give it a shot when I get the chance... I think I may just create a web page on my PC and browse to that and "download" it from there. Or at least see if that works. Has anyone figured out where the java files for the games are installed? It may be just easier to re-create that type of file structure for that and edit the reg (if necessary). There has to be a trick. -Mc

Guest emsilva
Guys, I am maybe talking about old news here... but I am using http://www.midlethosting.co.uk/ to upload my jad/jar files and then using a bridge connection to download it to my cell phone. I paid for the games, I have the right to transfer them to my new phone.

Guest emsilva
Are you upping the JAD and JAR files? Mines are working like a charm.
Guest emsilva
Okay, I found it. Or at least something really close to "it" I think I had post that this evening, but I probbaly goofed as its not in here. Here's the deal: First of all, I don't know how legal this file is. Every information I found related to this file is in korean and I don't know how to read korean. So if a moderator feels like this is not a good post, please let me know and I will remove the file promptly. Another thing is... if this file burns, cracks, sends money to some island or makes your computer barf, I have nothing to do with it. After clarifying these things, lets go ahead with business: - Uncompact this file somewhere in your smartphone. Yes, the storage card CAN be used. - There are going to be a bunch of files on the directory you just created. There are two executables. Javains.exe and dmidp2.exe. - Execute javains.exe. On the first field write the name of the application you are going to install. On the second field, add the path to the jar file. To make things easier, just press your action button when having this field selected and a browsing window will show up. - Press install and it will clear the two fields after a while. You are not going to see a message saying everything was done succesfully. - Now execute dmidp2.exe and you will see the application you installed thru javains.exe. Select it and "launch". "ta-da" :D I don't have much games. Most java "things" I use are applications. Everything I tried so far worked flawlessly. If anyone has a problem with this post, please let me know.Delta_Java_MIDP_2.rar
Guest McHale
emsilva, I *THINK* that file installs JAVA software (that runs the JAVA applets) on Smartphones without JAVA. This is a WAY overkill way to do it. I was wondering if it were possible to create a webpage on your PC and browse to it or create a webpage with links to the JAR and JAD files and save it all on your smartphone. There *HAS* to be an easier way... -Mc
