Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone else has experience with the above card.

Do any of you have this card and what are your impressions of it?

As I have bought one today and it seems to work ok in my JAM but worst luck thinks like MiniStumbler and pocketWinc dont seem to work.

The guy in the shop that I bought it from told me he uses it and he says it is better then the sandisk one. But I am not convinced.

He says he gets about 2.5 hours of use when using it full time on his JAM before the battery goes down. What sort of times are people getting out of the sandisk or the socket one?

Thanks,

Mike.

I got the SanDisk 256/WiFi card today for my Jam. Have set it up but haven't used it that much yet, will keep an eye on battery life and let you know...

ok I took my Jam off charge yesterday morning at 100% and used it throughout the day thus:

Bluetooth permanently on. Bonded with Jabra BT200 and Emtac GPS

10 calls during the day, all but 1 taken on the Jabra. Total call time approx 40 minutes.

WiFi card inserted several times throughout the day and evening for email checking and net surfing, probably just under an hours use in all.

2 or 3 mp3s played from the Sandisk card (but with "radio" turned off)

Phone left on normal standby overnight (without wifi card inserted).

Battery state this morning ~ 9am - 79%.

So I am pretty happy with the battery life and the impact the WiFi card has on it.

Additionally, I am _really_ impressed with the range of the WiFi card when poking out the top. Much better coverage in my house than my old Dell X3i. Anyone know if there's a review/comparison of SDIO Wifi cards v. Inbuilt ?

i dont get how you can have so much battery left after one day? when i have bluetooth on and take a call for about ½ hour my battery drains down to 75-85%

is there something wrong with my battery then? =(

Ahh one thing I forgot to mention was backlight setting. Mine is set to just under the 3/4 level which I find is fine for virtually all conditions and doesn't leave me blinded in low light !

Perhaps you have your setting at max (which seems to be the default) ?
