I'm not too sure about the new download section! It looks lovely & all, and it's good the way things are presented, but it makes it a bit of hassle monitoring the thread for comments and the downloads at the same time. Maybe it'll just take a bit of getting used to!?

How do you mean?

The homescreens in the downloads section are linked to the posts in the homescreen download discussion forum... when a new download is posted, a new topic is created in that forum, hence you only need to look in one place ;-)

Yeah, I know they are linked, but it still means that in order to keep track of how many downloads there have been of a homescreen, I need to click again on the view file link.

I dunno - maybe it seems a bit picky! It just seems a bit disjointed to me, having the download in a seperate thread to the discussion.

I guess if nobody else is commenting on it, then I'll get used to it over time.

EDIT - I have just had another look at the download section, how are the ratings for homescreens working? I see 2 little bars - what does that mean?

Actually, there is one thing about the new forum that I really am not getting to grips with, and thats the search function. The first simple search that comes up is not something I would use really, so I am always having to select more options, & it would be really great if I could set it up to do that automatically. If it does, and I'm just being daft then somebody please put me right!
The other really annoying thing is the search will not accept words of less than 4 letters. Thats really dumb! Words like hot, car, even spv cannot be searched at all?! Or am I being really stoopid here?

agreed . search sucks. searching for more than word (even with +'s etc) yeilds unwanted results

also a posted between date and date would be nice!
