Anyone using ActiveSync over a VPN?

My colleague has an M2000 he's trying to setup, but when he opens ActiveSync it starts a GPRS connection, but doesn't open the VPN

Anyone using this that can help guide him through the setup?

He's knows more about this than me, so it won't be too painful (promise!)

Are you trying to sync to a desktop or to an Exchange server... and if so 2000 or 2003... and if 2003 do you use OWA with forms authentication i.e https:// etc?

I may be able to help O:)

You probably already know this but but if he using Orange then I think he will need to use APN internetvpn and not APN orangeinternet for the GPRS connection.

If i set the IE to use the vpn Connection, the IE establish the vpn connection. Then I can sync AS with Ex 2003 over VPN. But default, AS will not use the VPN Connection.
