iMate Jam vs MDA Compact

I can't decide which to buy - I know T-Mobile (my current supplier) are getting the MDA Compact soon but have no idea when, i'm guessing its going to be within a month or so. The other option is to buy a Jam from Expansys on their Vodafone contract for £70 or so, with a new contract @ £36 a month.

I've been with T-Mobile for about 4 years now and they're going to give me £100 off any phone I upgrade to. T-Mobile's upgrades are notoriously expensive though; I could save a mint on purchase price by going with the Jam.

My phone bill is £32 a month for 200 any time minutes + 100 texts - I'm on the EmployeeCall discount thanks to my uncle who used to work for one2one/mercury.

The main dilemma is this - do I get a Jam and get Club I-Mate support and upgrades or wait for the Compact and keep my current contract? Secondly; could I use Jam upgrades on the Compact?

Sorry for the rambling but I'd really appreciate your opinions!

Cheers,

Jon

Its the same device physcically so I dont seew why the upgrades will not work. For instance people here with the JAm have swapped in the T-mobile ROM, so seems fine weither way.

Id' say just go with whatever plan you feel gives you the most value & phone company that you are most comfortable with. I got mine from phones2udirect.co.uk They have a plat witht he phone for 87 quid and then 35 quid/moth for 250 mins+50 text. That's doubled for the first 3 months. There are other 02 and Vodaphone plans too.
