i agree. really dont want my phone to be any bigger and i think its perfectly safe in my pocket, screen facing inwards. on the other hand if vaja made a nice case, without any silly flaps, that has the screen exposed, i might get one.

I don't generally like them, but always buy them anyway and don't use them...

I think I have a disease :D

On the other hand, the Brando one I bought first I really like and am actually using on occasions, not so much the silicone one, as it just feels kinda weird :D

I've got my C500 in a Krusell case because I heard all these horror storys about dust getting under the screen of the C500. Now I find more dust and bits of crap getting inside Krusell case and onto the phone then when I never had the case. I would prefur not to use a case at all, as the C500 looks so good but it's the dust thing.

I agree with the above sentiments, but there are times when a case comes in handy; outdoors use for instance.

I will always buy one but rarely use it

Yeah, I bought the Martin Fields case from brando in white and it's awesome. The biggest reason I bought a case is so I can use a belt clip with the phone. It's amazingly small for a pda, but even most phones are too big to wear in a pocket without looking odd...

The only thing I noticed about the case was that the bolt for the belt clip was a screw that could be removed from the back of the case if you didn't want to use it, which seemed like a good idea until I found my XDA mini on the floor at Starbucks!! I'd been jogging and it had managed to completely unscrew itself!!

So, I used a little industrial epoxy and glued the screw in place, now it's rock solid... others might want to do the same before ending up with a clip and no phone.

I have the Silicone case and I bought it specifically because I wanted some protection without adding bulk. In the hand it feels pretty much the same size but just different texture. Its pointless IMO to get a device for its small size and then put in in a case that make it 50% thicker!

First of all you must have a geed screen overlay no matter what. Then with the silocone case you have enough protection to throw it in a bag and not worry about it scratching etc. Also even on a fall from hand height the silicone case is just enough to distribute the impact a bit. I dont know if it would solve a drop on the bottom corners, but any flat impact or on the top corners, I think it would make it.

I miss the old days when PDA were as tank like as my old Visor Edge. A PDA with its own built-in metal case - now that's on old school idea they should have stuck with. Stuck a flap cover on that suckerand it took a beating without even flinching.

The problem with that one is that you can't do anything on the Jam while it is pouched. If I'm using it in an environment where it is potentially going to get dropped or get something spilled on it I would certainly be happier with some kind of case.

I originally had the Martin Fields case but didnt like that as it didnt protect the screen at all and that was my main prority whilst the phone is in my pocket, I then went for one of the silicone cases which had the same problem but made my iMate look awful by covering it in fluff and dust :-(

But today my Piel Frama case arrived and Im really impressed with it the quality is fantastic, it protects the screen, doesnt add hardly ann bulk to the phone and is able to store 2 SD cards as well.

Best case so far in my opinion even if it is a bit pricey, but when compared with the Proporta/ ADVERTISING SPAM cases it isnt that much dearer as postage and packing is included.

Will try and upload some pics later :-)
