what specific apps don't work with your mitac mio? have you check with mio tech support?

if that's the case, while your unit is open line, it is application locked. this is common for all mitac phones.. you can unlock it at www.justmio.com and follow the instructions there.
i did the same with own mitac 8380..... good luck!

My Mio 8390 died today (won't boot up) and wondering if there's anyone knowledge enough to fix it.
