MPx220 Camera Quality *COMPLAINT TODAY*

The camera quality on MPx220 firmware v1.3 is still terrible. I am not certian is rather the way I use the camera, but 99.99% of the photos I have taken so far, are incredibly BLURRY! Bummer, I was hoping to give myself a little bit of fun with the 1.3MP camera on the phone, which was one of the primary reason I choose MPx220 over the other brands. This is absolutely disappointing, when I compare photo quality with other 1.3MP photo, they are not fantastic either, but at least they are CLEAR!

Fellow MPx220 users, can you all please do ourselve a favour, and post your lovely photos on here. I would love to see those photo quality coming from your MPx220 handset. I think it is time for Motorola to fix the problems for their supporting customers. No offense, if Motorola cannot make a camera to function properly why bother to put one on in the first place. Since I am in Canada, I have to go through a great deal of risk to purchase MPx220 on ebay, w/o any warranty.

In terms of functionality MPx220 is perfect, but when it comes to quality is disappointing! Most importantly, I really doubt Motorola will offer future updates/patches/firmware without any noises from consumers.

Fellows, please post your photos on here! Thank You, Domo Arigator, Xie Xie, Merci Beaucoup!

Consumers deserves BETTER

I agree. You can't even see peoples expressions if any pictures are taken from a distance. I guess that's why you need a digital camera... though I'd rather just use my phone.

OMG!

That's rubbish!

Sorry and everything, but FFS that's no better than my C500 (which is poor enough)

Actually I saw photos taken with a Sony Ericsson 1.3MP camera on some forum a while ago, and the pictures are absolutely nice and clean. Unless the pictures weren't taken with a phone camera, otherwise I just can't satisfy myself for spending few hundred dollars and not getting my dollars worth. In fact MPx220 should have more RAM and CPU processing power, compare to other cells. I m just not too sure rather the dual core processor is a RISC or CRISC.

Btw, it would be great to post a photo snapped off your C500 on here, I would love to do a comparison.

I sort of have to disagree with the whole "complain" thing.

Imagine us having one phone that was "perfect". That's not going to happen, there will always be one feature of some sort that we're not going to like. So, the best we can do is get the best phone to suit us, and minimize the features we don't like...

Now, I do have to agree that we, the consumers are the ones driving the industry, so, in that respect, by all means complain to get the newest and latest features that we want added to the newer models, especially since 3G is on the way...

Just my 2cents worth on the subject

I cannot agree with you. If I have not compared the photo qualities from others, I would still think my MPx220 is defected. This is simply madness from Motorola and consumers deserve their dollars worth. A 9.99 disposable camera doesn't equal to BLURRY pictures, which is acceptable to consumers. If disposable cameras are only capable of snapping blurry pictures, I would rather spend more on better camera. I don't need MPx220 to have promising results on a camera, but at least it should be decent.

How about the fact that other MOTO phones have very decent cameras. Or at least tons more decent than the mpx220. Why would it be this phone where the quality was crap.

Yea I notice mpx do better on sunny days, but hell I want to snap pictures indoor too.

I was looking at the pictures taken with the Motorola E680 on Howard yesterday, and notice the picture quality are similar, but the indoor pictures do look cleaner than MPx220.
