This has more than likely been mentioned elsewhere in the forum however i thought i'd write this thread anyway since there are a lot of pocket pc newbies (including me!) in here who were so wowed by the Jams small shinyness that they just had to have one (including me again!)

Anyhow you will need

a)pocket pc with bluetooth (i.e. your new shiny Jam  )

B)a bluetooth dongle or other device to bluetooth enable your pc.

c)an internet connection, preferably broadband.

d)free GSplayer software available from greensoftware

e)two minutes to read the guide here

f)no skill whatsoever (hell i even managed it)

And several easy steps, It will actually take around 30seconds to do all this! :(

1)Make sure your Jam can connect to active sync via bluetooth. If you haven't managed this consult this guide and this thread

2)Sync via bluetooth.

3)Run the setup.exe file in the .zip you downloaded from greensoftware. This will install it to your ppc. I installed to storage card, though you can install wherever, but it's best to leave the main memory as free as possible.

4)After installation you should have the GSplayer icon in your programs menu. Run it.

5)Either read the guide above or simply click tools>associations. You can tick the lot if you want GSplayer to be associated with those files. I just ticked playlist files.

6)Make sure you're synced to your PC using Bluetooth so you are using your pcs internet connection and not GPRS to connect to the net. On your ppc go to www.shoutcast.com and find the radio station of your choice and click listen!

7)You will be asked where you want to save shoutcast-playlist.pls. Leave the "open file after download" box ticked. Press change.

8)Name the station and choose where you want to save it then press ok.

9)Et voila you should be hearing some tuneage and you're free to enjoy it around your house! :D

This is working brilliantly for me listening to the 128k stream from www.m1live.com.

Have fun,

Mike 8)
