I use the hs810 and i'm very happy with it. It comes with it's own charger, so no batteries. it's just a standard motorola charger so you can use your phone charger to charge it too. When the boom is closed the headset is off. when you open the boom, the phone automatically recognizes it and you're good to go. My only beef with it is that I can't set it up to automatically answer since it's considered a hands-free device instead of using the headset profile. Though that does give it extra little capabilities. All in all a good device

My only concern on the HS810 and 850 is the Ear piece, they look pretty large. Another one of my concern is my glasses. Anyone here is wearing glasses and using BT headset? How does it fit with the glasses on the ear?

I use mine with glasses, and it fits fine. I was worried about it at first. I bought my wife's one first, and tested hers, then I had to get my own. I suppose the size of your ear may make a difference...LOL

I guess I missed the voting but I have a Jabra BT250 which I love. I thought about getting the motorola, but I used to have both a Nokia HDW-2 and a Jabra BT200 on my old phone. I preferred the Jabra because it doesn't stand off your face like the Nokia.

On the day, I went to get my headset I saw a guy wearing the motorola and it just looked like he had a giant insect on his ear. I could see it getting knocked off easily if I shook my head too much or put on a shirt or glasses. My brother also had both Motorola's, the HS820 and HS810, and he switched the Jabra BT250. He said his HS820 just stopped working one day, it turned on but it wouldn't stay paired for more than a minute.

I got the BlueTrek G2, I love this thing. Its so sleek, easy to use, the battery lasts a long time, and the quality is great.

Did you guys try to connect to your BT with your computer or pda and use it with VoIP? Does it work?

The HS-850 is a great headset.

Seems like you never have to charge it and I love the battery saving fact that you only have to flip the boom mic up for the unit to power on. You can actually keep it in your pocket until your phone rings and it be able to get it on and answer a call.

Is it possible to use the HS-8x0 series on the right and left ear or can it only be used on the right side?

thanks!

i know on the 810 you can, it comes with instructions on how to pop the little plastic flap out and you just flip it, put it back in and it's set for left ear. also, since there are buttons on the actual headset for increasing and decreasing volume, you can switch the functions of those for when used on the left ear

I hated the 'one button' "feature" of the 820 (hold instead of hangup, redial instead of off...), but love Moto headsets because it's the same charging connector. Will proably get an 850 soon.

The friggin' annoying thing about a BT headset (HS810) and the MPx220 is that you can't initiate a voice dial call with it!!! How friggin' ignorant is that? I mean, the "less featured" v551 I had before the 220 even allowed virtually flawless operation of a BT headset and voice dial. I would open the headset, press the button and say a command...simple as that.

I now have to use a wired Jabra headset in order to almost have hands free operation. I have to open the phone, press the "up" key on the side, wait for the woman's voice to start, and then say "voice connect". Then, after that, I can finally say who or where I want to call.

Make sure the software you're using, for VoIP is looking for the sound device as "Bluetooth ..." rather than the sound card in your PC!

I have the HS820 and while it works ok with my MPx220, the styling leaves much to be desired. I'm returning mine and picking up a Jabra BT250.

Yes the BT250 is very good. It also last for a freaking long time. If I remember correctly, 8 hrs of talk time and 240 hours of stand by.

My only con for the whole deal is that since the microphone is very good, any kind of wind or just walking with no wind blowing beside what you create your self...my freinds tell me it's like I am in a wind tunnel.

I am going to get a wired headset for listen to MP3s and for being outside if I want to chat.

Otherwise I think it is an excellent wireless headset.
