I have been looking at a Motorola HS805, which claims it can do a whooping 22hrs talk time with 1xAAA alkaline and supports PDA, PC too, would someone on modaco actually tried? It comes with it's own charger, so no batteries. it's just a standard motorola charger so you can use your phone charger to charge it too. When the boom is closed the headset is off. when you open the boom, the phone automatically recognizes it and you're good to go. My only beef with it is that I can't set it up to automatically answer since it's considered a hands-free device instead of using the headset profile. I thought about getting the motorola, but I used to have both a Nokia HDW-2 and a Jabra BT200 on my old phone. I preferred the Jabra because it doesn't stand off your face like the Nokia. On the day, I went to get my headset I saw a guy wearing the motorola and it just looked like he had a giant insect on his ear. I could see it getting knocked off easily if I shook my head too much or put on a shirt or glasses. My brother also had both Motorola's, the HS820 and HS810, and he switched the Jabra BT250. Seems like you never have to charge it and I love the battery saving fact that you only have to flip the boom mic up for the unit to power on. Guest hamsammich Posted March 5, 2005 Report Share Posted March 5, 2005 (edited) The friggin' annoying thing about a BT headset (HS810) and the MPx220 is that you can't initiate a voice dial call with it!!! How friggin' ignorant is that? I mean, the "less featured" v551 I had before the 220 even allowed virtually flawless operation of a BT headset and voice dial. I would open the headset, press the button and say a command...simple as that. I now have to use a wired Jabra headset in order to almost have hands free operation. I have to open the phone, press the "up" key on the side, wait for the woman's voice to start, and then say "voice connect". If I remember correctly, 8 hrs of talk time and 240 hours of stand by. My only con for the whole deal is that since the microphone is very good, any kind of wind or just walking with no wind blowing beside what you create your self...my freinds tell me it's like I am in a wind tunnel. I am going to get a wired headset for listen to MP3s and for being outside if I want to chat. Otherwise I think it is an excellent wireless headset.
