Orange are prepping a new Smartphone, the SPV C550.

The first Smartphone to feature a QVGA resolution, the C550 features:

Our sources indicate that the following features are unconfirmed, but rumoured:

The dimensions are 90x47x25mm, weighing 110g

So... it looks a bit ugly right?

We can also exclusively reveal that the handset is due to hit the shops in May!

really hope that they don't go to 18 bit (262k) screen (lots of reason's I wont bore you with, but you'll be sorry if they go true 18bit as well - trust me)

and I wonder if they can manage to hide the 'stick any better? are they just trying to remove it bit by bit with each generation ?

Yup, I also find it a bit ugly.  But I don't mind if it's got good features, including an 8 ways joystick.

Better looking than the C500 - kind of a hybrid between the C500 and SP3i.

Fantastic news. Are those SDA Music style Play/Forward/Rewind buttons I see?

And Drblow: should be Smartphone as the increased screen resolution was announced for the Smartphone platform by Microsoft months ago, just no one's released one on the market yet.

Oh, and I'd be amazed if this DIDN'T have Windows Media Player 10. The reason Orange haven't made it available for C500 is probably to ensure when they do release a Smartphone with WMP10 that it's all the more attractive to new customers and upgrades alike!
