Veteran fan of MoDaCo -

But recently the portals becoming way too chaotic.

I used to use the recently posted topics left side menu bar often but now its a lot smaller and it scrolls. Tedious to use. Theres also a lot of things on the side which i have no use for, for example random image etc...

Perhaps an option to customise the portal as we see fit in our profile section?

That'd please everyone! :D

I second that! A way to choose which forums you want to see new posts from would be ideal.

I agree, for me the portal is just where I find the "View new posts" link (which FSR you can't seem to link to directly - not sure why)

But I'm still hoping either the mobile version of the site or the RSS feed will be relaunched / improved first

Per-user customisation is non trivial, but I can remove the scrolling and make it static again, and also hide portal elements people don't find valuable...?

I am toying with the idea of making the layout totally customisable, i.e. show hide different blocks, but also change the arrangement of the forums.

Probably a mammoth development task, but would be neat ;)
