Guest confused and hungover
i was passed this homescreen by a friend of of a friend of a friend etc... it has a really cool white target that hovers over the selected icon and i'm banging my head against a brick wall trying to get it to work in another xml file... it's really strange code that i haven't seen before. i'm trying to contact the person who made it for advice and i figured if he can make a homescreen like this then he probably posts here??? any ideas anyone? EDIT: forgot to add attachment... Edited April 13, 2005 by confused and hungover

Guest confused and hungover
What is the theme of the uh...theme ? What pictures / design ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> there's not really any theme apart from the shortcuts, instead of them being fixed, they automaticaly revert to the most recently used programs, very smart stuff and i really want to know how it works!!! plus the white target thing is really cool

Guest Disco Stu
CelSol always used to have his own page in CoolSmartphone's homescreen section. If you can't find it there I'd suggest looking on LeMondeDuSkin where you can sort by author.

Guest drblow
its just the mru plugin, is it not?
Guest sracer
its just the mru plugin, is it not? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Examining the .xml, yes it appears so. It is the use of a "button-image" with transparency that gives it a unique look with the crosshairs.
Guest skanna
I have been using this homescreen since I had the original SPV. Its simple and informative and it wont slow the phone down. Just one query. On the SPV I was able to combine two of Celsol's homescreens, the 'Timewise' with its MRU and the 'Darktext' with its fixed shortcuts. But because I dont know much about xml- I postioned the fixed shortcuts line off the homescreen. Therefore on normal use the screen appears as the normal Timewise homescreen. But if you scroll down past the profile line, the fixed shortcuts pop up at the bottom of the screen- like on Windows when the taskbar is set on hidden! This was really useful, but it did not work on the windows mobile 2003 operating system, just on 2002, ie the spv. Can this be made to work on the 2003 OS, ie to work on the c500/e200

Guest confused and hungover
are you planning to integrate his work with da_mayhem's grid? :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i was talking to him about that yesterday, the crosshair is built into the MRU plugin and unless someone can tailor make aRJshortcut style plugin with the crosshair its not possible to include it in the da mayhem icons homescreen. i posted my version of that yesterday, waiting for it to be approved... i'm actually working on a version 2 which makes the icons slightly larger as you select them but i'm having problems in that the the background image gets distorted as you scroll up and down. i also made a new homescreen yesterday using the MRU plugin (i had no work to do yesterday!) it looks pretty smart, uses the analogue clock plugin... the MRU plugin seems to make the homescreen a bit unpredictable from what i can see. i'm trying to split the icons up onto different lines "da mayhem" style but it keeps crashing my phone/PC/brain etc... i'll keep you posted how the work's going suggestions always welcome

Guest confused and hungover
there is a Bmp image and it is refered to in the plugin code as: button-image="\IPSM\Application Data\Home\timewisebmp.bmp but if i try and add this anywhere in the Rjshortcuts plugin at messes everything up... the mayhem tribute homescreen is posted in computers, same as da mayhems screenshot of analogue MRU plugin homescreen below.... hehehe... do take a little break... my life is one long break

Guest confused and hungover
hmmm... i'll try to do some experimentation too... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yeah, if we can just work out how to get 2 rows of 3 icons, it would be pretty easy to increase the number of icons, rows etc..... i also found a few more crosshairs and i'm trying to get some different cursors to work in place of a crosshair
