Micro speakers

Well not quite. In fact I'm a language teacher and we've finally updated all our teaching audio to CD, which set me thinking. Instead of lugging a huge ruggedised CD/Tape player out to a company in my Mini, I could tuck a tiny pair of speakers in my bag and take my SPV with everything copied onto it in MP3, and just use Beta Player.

So the question is, does anyone have any recommendations? I'm guessing I'd have to buy a 3.5 to 2.5 adaptor, but that's OK. So the ideal is somethign tiny, light, and quite loud, but as it's only having to cope with voice, the quality doesn't have to be excellent.

Let me know your ideas.

Thanks for that, I just toddled off to see if I could find these in the PC shop near me, as they sell Creative products, and somehow managed to spend more money and come away with these SPEAKERS instead.

What convinced me was the fact that they had a 2.5mm audio lead as part of the package, a leather travelling case so I can drop them in my bag with no worries about scratching, oh and they seemed less plasticy than the Creative set, although they were a bit more expensive. Also the fact that they auto power-off when there's no sound signal is excellent for me. I would probably only use them for 15 to 20 minutes over a 2 hour period, but that would be broken up into 6 or 7 short bursts. The fact I don't have to remember to turn them off after every playing will save me batteries.

Sound quality? Well it seems good to me, there's a tiny bit of distortion at max volume, but I would have expected that. Voume is good enough for what I want, and I did a quick test and I could just about hear them over the top of my Mini Cooper (not the BMW one) with a straight cut gerbox and a stainless steel exhaust, and believe me it's loud in there.
