  • Interests:The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

WOW! I wonder if that comes with a backpack to carry it around with? Is it really as big as it looks? The screen itself is almost as big as the Jam.

I clicked on the link to see the device and instead of swaying over to the MDA IV gallery, I ended up looking at the transparent screen gallery. I think that is a much cooler technology. They dont explain how that is done though...on a cellphone??

You mean these: http://gallery.mlife.at/

It's a clever effect, but that is all it is!

They have just carefully taken a photgraph of the backgroud without the computer there. Then set the resulting photo as the desktop image and then put the computer back in palce and photographed it again for the image you see.

Some have been touched up in photoshop or similar to add a few effects too.

I keep meaning to do it with my desktop monitors.

Cheers
Marc

I've fallen in love with this too.
The size issue doesn't seem to bother me, nor I suspect will the price.
Let's see what it can do then  8)

I think the price would kill me, but it just looks soooooo awesome. I want VGA!!!! And the builtin keyboard would be great for email/msn.

This is like the ultimate minilaptop since the success of the Handheld PC. VGA, keyboard, WiFi, BT, phone, GPRS!!! What a combo!

You're right. It does look like a little mini laptop and i like it. What i like about it is that you can use it as a regular hand held i.e. pda/phone etc and when you fancy watching a movie or playing a game it can turn in to a mini laptop.

..now i realise the need for transparency in 'head-up' displays for cars and planes, but er... the use for a transparent screen in the homes/office would be ?

nokia orange, nk 702, nokia 7110, spv, spv e200, spv m2000
