but question, i re-flash my phone, do I have to de simlock it again?
like the e200 rom sim unlock?

Nope, it will survive a reflash ;)

If for whatever reason you want to lock your phone again, you can do so aswell.

When I bought my C500 it was for use with an O2 SIM so unlocking was very important to me. I paid £30 to get this done, and then switched to Orange when O2 wouldn't support half the features of the phone.

Anyway, this program would have been perfect for me, and for millions of other people out there with C500s. Well done on doing this - this thread should be framed somewhere for new users looking to unlock their phones.

cert.cab = ran OK
SPVServices.exe = Error - Unable to open the file. The system returned the error 'Access denied'!

The phone is App unlocked.

Any guesses why it says Access denied?  the files are on my Storage Card

You need to run cert.cab on your phone, and SPV-Services.exe on your PC.

wow. you guys are awesome. free unlocking is something I didn't think I'd see for a long time. Now I just hope you are able to get to the Audiovox ROM soon. I'm planning on ordering my new phone this weekend. ;)

Fantastic!  Got the unlock message but left it for a bit then it worked.  Tested with o2 SIM and no problems.

Then I realised my phone is getting swapped out by O  range tomorrow.  D'oh!
