hello all,

er... anyone out there have much success in buying an in-car charger for the orange spv m2000 ? they DO make them yes ? i know the unit comes with two batteries, but i'm going camping in two weeks time and i'm not sure how i'll cope with no juice ?

i've noticed on the orange website they make all the BT/data accessories readily available for this phone, but not a hint of any power lead. i realise this is classed as a 'business phone', but weren't they expecting businessmen/women to go camping ?

ps. i'm not a businessman, but i often pretend i am !

I like to pretend I'm a businessman myself at times, which is easy with my XDA IIs! :) Anyways, I'm looking an in-car charger and spare battery myself (For camping too actually!) LOL. ;) My C500 lasted days no problem without charging the last time I went camping a few weeks ago. If there's anyone with an M2000 reading this and they'd be willing to sell their spare battery (I doubt it, but it's worth a try!) LOL. :(, could you PM me please!

Cheers

hello all,

..to cut a long and tedious story short... forget about the orange customer service department, their accessory department and their 'business' department (which is closed at weekends, yet businesses operate 24/7)... they're all shite !

i bought an in-car charger from the T-MOBILE shop. plenty in stock, helpful and pleasant staff... and she wasn't bad looking either, which was a bonus !

if the htc blue angel is available on all the four major networks in the uk, why do the other three manage to hold accessories for it, yet orange seems incapable of such stock control ? you think they're trying to suggest more spv m2000's are sold than the mda or xda variants ?

i bought a car charger for my M2000 a while back from the Modaco shop. Works pretty well for me. You can find it here. Its the Imate PDA2K charger by they way.

I had a stroke of luck in that the in car charger for my Fortuna Clip-on has the correct fitting for the M2000 adaptor. With this having 2 ends on it, I can charge the phone and the GPS at the same time if necessary

Hi,

I got a good one off ebay too. About £8. It's a sync cable and laptop/car charger.

It's got a seperate cigarette lighter adapter plug with a USB socket in the end. The retractable cable can then be used to plug into this or your laptop to sync & chanrge.

Well worth it.
