Isn't that a post-meet meet if it happens after the meet? ;)

Yep seems there was a problem with the MoDaCo mail server at some point. Rest assured we do still have places available and are working on a solution to the email issue.

Watch this space (and your email inboxes)!

Mono,

Sri, but an acknowledgement would be good. Don't want to travel to London on a hope and promise (or to fall off of a stool :) )............................... ;)

Cheers Big Man,

Mick

most people here use mobiLuck already i guess, i believe this does the same kind of thing....

I think it's a bit different. It uses WAP so can you add any external links to your profile (like www.modaco.com). Also, it keeps history so you can see all people you've met on the website (www.sixsense.com)

I'm trying to sort out my travel, and not having travelled by train much, and never having used the tube before, I'm banging my head against a brick wall. National Rail Enquiries is a joke.

I'm coming from Yeovil, so I'll be coming in from the West or South West. What station would be the best one to arrive at for my destination? I've got so many choices it's impossible to work out the best route.

I don't mind travelling by tube, so if there's a tube element I don't mind.

Virgin's site isn't bad - get to whichever London station from Yeovill and get the tube from there. The local tube should be on the map given by Mono

http://www.virgintrains.co.uk/default.aspx

It's easier than you think :)

eg : get the South West Trains 09.20 from Yeovil Junction to Waterloo ("Waterloo ! I was defeated..." ;) )

For the Tube, check out the Transport For London website :

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tube/

Northern Line - Waterloo to Tottenham Court Road direct, I think

From experience its easier to get the Bakerloo line north to Oxford or Picadilly Circus (picadilly is closer but oxford is more straightforward...)

Personally i will be arriving at Waterloo > Bakerloo north to Picadilly Circus > Try not to get lost (again) in the depths of Soho trying to find Great Pultney Street!

Thanks Disco Stu and Mono for the advice.

Looks like you might have some company Mono, I've just booked my ticket into Waterloo. Didn't realise the TfL site was so good, I've now got details of every tube journey within an hour of the arrival time going along the Bakerloo line to Piccadilly. It also gives you pdf maps showing the walking route - if you put in the destination address it'll show you which roads to take.

If you see a guy with reams of printouts looking puzzled, that's me!
