My MPx220 was interupted in the middle of updating, now I can't get it to power on. Is there any way to get it to power on or is it a lost cause?

Rerun the update, if that does not work then It's probably paperweight time

for the update, dont u just need to put it in modem mode?
turn it off, (well u cant turn it ON, but anyways)
hold the left key while plugging it in to the usb and then the updater will recognize it?

darkz is right, it just needs to be in modem mode. If this does not work then the phone is likely ruined.

Well, also alot depends on 'HOW' it was interupted.. If we knew that, we may be able to provide more assistance.

im having a similar problem. i tried to upgrade to 2k5. the upgrade process was completed successfully, i disconnected the phone from the usb cable and tried to power on the phone. nothing... tried to plug it back into the comptuer in modem mode, now the phone isnt detected by the upgrade program, or the computer for that matter. i got a lil mad and threw my phone against my desk, ended up just breaking off a hinge, superglued it back on, phone opens fine, but still wont power on or go into modem mode at all. anyone know of a site that will possaibly fix this???

That's the fuin of playing with ilegal roms, chances are you have a nice paperweight.
The wm5 rom you have may be corrupted or has been hacked badly.
I have seen phone killer roms before so your phone would not be the first.

There is a working solution for MPX200s, which appear to be dead after flashing
on the german site mobiljoe.de .
Here are the instructions for the guys who don't speak german:
1. Remove the battery
2. Press the "Left Key" and hold it while doing the next steps
3. Plug in the USB cable
4. Insert the battery (still pressing the left key)
5. The Phone should be recognizes by Windows
Now you can reflash the phone again :)
