Guest Rafail Posted September 29, 2005 Report Share Posted September 29, 2005 Hello, MPX200 makes quiet but annoying buzzy sound when pushing keypad buttons, Buzzing lasts approx 5 seconds after button released. Seems the soung comes somewhere from under the top part of the housing. None of the keypad backlights are working also. Can anyone help out with a solution? Thanks! Guest toomuchdogfur Posted October 2, 2005 Report Share Posted October 2, 2005 whoah... sounds like a nasty electrical problem; buzzing could mean some not-quite-touching contacts, and the no keypad lights could be the same problem... have you dropped your phone recently? Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 2, 2005 Report Share Posted October 2, 2005 This is a reported fault mainly with the AT&T MPX200 The buzzing has always been related to the keypad light failure. As yet I have not seen a solution for repair and when I stripped the keypad to it's basic circuitry I would say it's a very tricky if not impossible repair without replacing the whole keypad assembly.
