Guest bennish
uhmm it supports wm5... but requires wisbar 2.x... which the page states *doesn't* support wm5... AAAAGH i've gone crazy  Otherwise this looks great! Maybe some smartphone functionality to ppc homescreens? custom text, sounds good - so i can put "sms=x" instead of having to have the standard one. Maybe some horizontal icon nav as well. Worth the money, but you have to buy two products? sucky guys Edited October 31, 2005 by bennish

Which I suspect will be the release very soon. There are heaps of wm5 users on that forum that have been giving the developer plent of headaches...I mean feedback...about his apps. Both apps are great by the way. I even coffed up $ for them myself. Its awesome to be able to have a todayscreen how you like it. Text, icons, plugins, power/storage meters, etc, without too many limitations of vertical or horizontal positioning. I think the only limitation is the available ram and the today plugins because they are designed to take all the horizontal screenspace. The two apps are required but I really, really recommend WA2 anyway. And WAD is a plugin for it. Oh well I guess with all these toys I like Ill have to send the jam off to expansys for a 128mb upgrade... Guest chucky.egg
This may be what I need... I find that I have too much stuff on my Today screen, so I want to be able to quickly tab between a "work" one and a "personal" one Does anyone know if you can have multiple Desktops? You can scroll throught them (next page, prev page) I think they should just bundle the tow programs together and offer a cheap upgrade for people with WBA, it would seem to make more sense Edited October 31, 2005 by Furby™
Guest bretto
Yes, can set up multiple desktops. You can scroll throught them (next page, prev page) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure can. Can have as many desktops your memory will allow. Can also setup icons to switch directly to another desktop. You can have different plugins on each desktop too. You get a really basic desktop by default but looking at some of the excellent work people have done you can get some awesome effects happening. From a fresh start and armed with the basic knowledge of how to add items it only takes a few minutes to get a better result than the standard todayscreen. Really is worth a look. Guest chucky.egg
Thanks for that. I wasn't sure if the "Virtual Pages" were whole pages, or Windows-like Program Groups for icons Will give it a go when I get some free time - I need to integrate several plugins so it might take me a while
Guest wesbar
I've tried this with wisbar advance on my k-jam but it is just too slow. Switching to landscape mode takes ages. Too slow to be useable for me. A shame because it does look great.
Guest bennish
man... slow. a shame, looks really good. At least it's a start. noone's ever done it before, so it will be refined i'm sure. i've never liked wisbar 'cause it's so hard to just get the normal standard theme back. wis or other people will refine the desktop idea tho. it's a good one. Guest bretto
I wonder if thats a wm2005 thing? wm2003se appears to be pretty quick except for the start menu at times but Ive read this is configurable.
