date
time
call status
voicemail
profile
sms/email unread
Date and time are simple enough at the top. Call status and voicemail are set as default to be hidden if there is no call or voicemail. My problem is that when they hide, profile and sms/email unread climb up the screen to just below time. I'm trying to find a way to make it appear like this:
date
time
|
| (empty space)
|
profile
sms/email unread
Being a dirty XML hack, I've tried looking at other's files to see how it is done. So far I've only seen homescreen designer make it sorta work, but it does so by setting the height of profile to take up any empty space above it. This can work okay, but if you try this method with a selectable plugin, like say the email/sms unread one, you'll highlight the whole screen when you select it.
Hopefully this makes sense, any advice? Will continue hacking away and post if I find anything. Perhaps there is a way to make the other plugins transparent or something rather than hidden, thereby keeping that screen space in use?
Thanks all for your great work here at modaco.

There is inddedy....
All you have to do is change the positioning in the xml file like so.....
<!-- Date/Time/Carrier Plugin -->
<plugin file="sysplug.dll" clsid="{E09043DF-510E-4841-B652-388316977A7A}" height="52">
<background b-border-width="0">
</background>
<label bgcolor="transparent" halign="left" font-weight="normal" y="35" x="112" w="118" font-size="16" fgcolor="#000000">
<text><carrier/></text>
</label>
<clock>
<time font-weight="bold" font-size="25" bgtext="transparent" halign="left" fgcolor="#000000" mode="24" y="15" x="112" w="240"/>
<date font-weight="normal" fgcolor="#000000" font-size="16" valign="top" halign="left" mode="short" y="22" x="175" w="240" </clock>
</plugin>
y="22" x="175" w="240" />
The red section is what you need to change.... the Y corresponds to the Y axisi is N amount of pixels from the top down
and
X coresdonds to the X axis which is N amount of pixels from the left side...
N being a number no bigger than the resolution of the phone screen!
Hope this helps, if not just give me or any one who does skins a shout and im sure we can help you!
