Heres my situation, im thinking about doin a hard reset on my phone then updating the rom. thats beside the point right now. anyways, im trying to make sure that after i do the hard reset/upgrade, my phone will be able to connect with active sync, and copy all my contacts back from my computer to my phone. currently, i have been testing this out, and it hasnt worked. what i have done is gone on my phone and made a new contact, synced it. that new contact shows up in outlook. now, i delete that contact from my phone, and run activesync, the contact then dissappears from my computer now. im sure theres some setting that im overlooking that will allow me to have the comptuer as the master "know-it-all"(if u will) database. back when i used my motorola v180, i was using mobile phonetools. that had an option where it would only overwrite whats on the phone, if there was something on the computer that wasnt on the phone, it would put it on the phone, or something that will combine the phone's data with the computers data and make one big database one both ends. i need help finding that option.

Hi,

It's under rules, which way it goes, be carefull, you can sync nothing onto all your contacts either way, run active sync before you connect the phone and check which way it's set for.

P.S. first download all the progs you want on the phone and store them on the PC, you can check the phone before you nuke it that you've got them all.
