How to: Lose the Battery/Comm Mgr Today line

OK, I spent 20 minutes searching for the Today plugin that adds the Comm Manager and Battery section at the bottom (on mine) of the Today screen

Turns out it's not a selectable plugin

To stop it appearing remove the "Init_Tray.lnk" file from \Windows\Startup and Reset

(FWIW the link points to \Windows\Init_Tray.exe)

AFAIK you can't control what goes on there - some apps create an icon there, others create icons on the top bar, others dont put icons anywhere.

It's down to the software developer

I like having the taskbar thingy at the bottom with the battery bar ,very useful and makes it more like a phone as well as ppc..and is 1 of the reasons i sent my atom back.

I like having the comm manager icon on the today screen. At least you can check if you've left your wifi on at a glance!
