How did he unlock it? Using xda-dev's xda unlock all tool? A hard reset should sort that, or if not, reflash the latest t-mobil rom.

i don't really know, he paid for it a couple of months ago. we did do a hard reset a month ago for a different reason and the simlock did not reappear. i'll try to install new rom on it, see if that helps. thanks.

yeah that's what they said to him in the shop. they said that the courier will come to pick it up and check on the spot if it is sim unlocked and if so that they will not accept it. some weird s***..

i tried to put the latest rom on it but the phone is still unlocked. i guess we'll try to go to the shop that removed sim lock and see if they can do something about it.

by the way, has anyone here tried to send back their phone for repair to t-mobile while it was sim unlocked? i'm just wandering if what the guy said in the shop is true. we live in the netherlands

I know Ive just sent mine and my husbands C500s off to HTC for repairs to the joysticks and they are both unlocked and HTC didnt say anything.

Let us know what happens.

I'm guessing that HTC don't give a rats arse (see what I did there Ryanred :) )what firmware the phone has as mobile operators allways play with the firmware.

I think it's the mobile operators that look for ways out of warranty repairs/replacements. It's my opinion that the operators take the piss out of the consumer. Makes Mark angry :@
