Q: clsid's and custom themes

I've been making custom themes on my Motorola i930 SmartPhone this week, using PhotoShop CS 8 and HomeScreen Designer. It's been fun, but I have not really had any of them end up exactly as expected.

Upon a closer look at the *.home.xml files created in HomeScreen Designer, I am noticing something that has me mystified.

One of the problems that I'm running into is with the HSD generated code, my iconbar background color goes away after the phone is finished starting up and is replaced by a white background on the icons for signal strength and the little phone line indicator icon.

Just for the grins and giggles of it all, I tore into the code of the default themes that Nextel and Microsoft have provided, looking for any ideas. The first thing that became glaringly obvious is that HSD uses a different clsid for the "sysplug.dll" iconbar plugin:

HSD: clsid="{E09043DF-510E-4841-B652-388316977A7A}"

Nxtl: clsid="{837FC251-FE69-43ad-84E0-EBCEDEBA0884}" (nextel.home.xml)

Anybody know what the difference is, and what might be going on here?

Thanks,

Dan
