I'm really missing Phone Pad from my HTC devices that allows T9 input... does anyone know of any good alternatives?

I've even tried to get Phone Pad running on the A701, no dice yet...

I have a working .cab file for this (intellipad) if anyone wants it. It has just installed on my a701 and works great.

hi, thanks for this  program, but what do i  do to install it, do i unzip it or send it to the phone as a zip folder :cry:
where do i send it to on the phone so i can install it.

sorry for being thick on the issue.
nokia symbian phones is my area, so its all new to me with this A701.

Transfer it to the phone wherever you want then click on it on the phone. It will then install & you can remove the .cab file from your phone when it's done.

Copy cab to the phone using activesync etc..

Open filemanager and click the file, this will start the installation process.

I installed it but it still doesn't work. It's like my phonepad .cab file. When I select Intellipad as the input method instead of keyboard, nothing happens, it stays in keyboard. Is there anything I have to do first?

Nope, I just selected intellipad then did a soft reset for good luck. Works fine for me.
Can someone else try it on an a701 to make sure I'm not the exception here?

hi,it works now on mine too folks.
did the soft reset thing after selecting it as an input method.
really good application this.

How do you exactly set intellipad as the input method? Maybe I did it wrong?

It comes up in the list at the bottom. Click the little arrow next to the keyboard icon as if you were changing to transcriber.

That's exactly what I do, but in mine nothing happens, it stays in keyboard.
Really strange, maybe I'll give it another try the next time I hard reset mine.

I had to soft reset after installing it to get it to work on mine. Is intellipad in the list or does it just not appear there?

Yes IntelliPad is in the list, I also soft reset after the installation but still nothing.

Same thing happens to me sometimes an my A701. Sometimes IntelliPad works fine. Others I click it but it just stays on the keyboard.

If I reset it works sometimes but not others. It's getting really annoying cos I'm so used to my MDA Compact II.
