hi, im newly registered but have been reading the site since my first xda years back.

im looking for advice - the microphone on my 220 seems to have broken.

when i speak to people i sound very distant - as if im down a tunnel.

i dont remmeber getting it wet but it is unlikely to have stopped working. is this a common problem, is it the microphone?


does anyone know where i can buy spare parts for this phone?

Hi
  You microphone is perfectly ok, its just a problem with the phone software that makes the voice low at the other end.

I upgraded my ROM with the latest from MOTO/Cingular and the microphone still doesnt work for me.  People say I sound like Im in a tunnel.  Is there a software patch for this or do I need a new mic?

im not too sure where to find a replacement mic but if u end up selling the phone i need a new board so id be intrested in purchaing it for parts.

I've dismantled some MPX 220 and I have some spares,like housing (NEW-black)camera,etc.
