I just use the O2 ROM on my Exec cos I can't be bothered with messin g about. You say you have asked for an unlock code from HTC - will they give you one? I asked O for it, and strangely they were happy to give it to me, despite my contract running until november. it was the cust services rep that said it could take 2-3 weeks as they have to contact the manufacturer...
