Hi, I was wondering if anyone had experienced problems with their MDA Compact II booting and locking up displaying an event / appointment that had been recorded in outlook?
I've entered an all day event and when the device boots it displays the event on the windows splash screen, but does nothing else. There are soft key options to click to dismiss, but this does not work. I can't even turn the device off with the power button. The only thing I can do is press the reset button, but then it just boots and does the same thing again or I take the battery out. I'm new to this device, am I going to damage it by removing the battery?
Does anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this? It seems pretty pointless having a PDA if I can't put entries in the diary!
I'm going to see what happens when I turn it on in the morning because in theory the 'all day event' will be ended!
I've read a few things about a firmware upgrade, does anyone know when this will happen? Where will it be available from?
Sorry I realise that's a lot of questions. I just hope someone can help me.
Thanks,
imh.
