Guest Blakey
Hi, Given T-mobile's lovely unlimited data offer, plus the fact that the Universal is 3G, what sort of apps are people starting to stick on their Universals which they might not have done before unlimited data was available? I'm expecting weather forecasts and maybe rss and stuff like that. Is that about fair? Can you list them? Thanks Blakey
Guest belfast-biker
Hi, Given T-mobile's lovely unlimited data offer, plus the fact that the Universal is 3G, what sort of apps are people starting to stick on their Universals which they might not have done before unlimited data was available? I'm expecting weather forecasts and maybe rss and stuff like that. Is that about fair? I use the superb marsware weather panel - it's easily the most lovely looking of all the weather products, especially with the animated icons added. Well worth the cash - even updates satellite maps on a 30minute bassi if needed. Also, Egress RSS reader is superb - one handed operation is perfect for me. Even though I have two hands. (?) :) Push Email is brilliant - once you try it, it's hard to go back to normal - I pay about Edited June 25, 2006 by belfast-biker

Guest Confucious
Never tried a "normal" RSS reader so don't have anything to compare it to! Hubdog works and works well, together with the fact that it's free helps :) Can you get video casts and podcasts with Egress? Adding channels is simple and it all just works -what more could I want? Guest Paul (MVP)
Push email, SPB Weather, Pocket IE, Opera, Agile Messenger, OTA update of apps such as Resco World Cup, CamerAware for near-live position uploading... P
Guest Confucious
OTA updates goes without saying - things just happen as they should. With the Universal with 3G browsing is a real pleasure.
Guest Blakey
I've just installed Hubdog and so far it looks great from a text point of view. But whenever I click on a video or sound bite it says: "There's currently no software associated with pls files". I have BetaPlayer installed - which is the recommended player - so how do I make that association? Thanks! Blakey
Guest Confucious
did you download all the TCMP extentions?
Guest Blakey
did you download all the TCMP extentions? Yeah, I did. I've sussed it. Sorry - I posted before I'd really looked into how BetaPlayer works - I found the file associations hidden in the Settings of BetaPlayer. So, to add an RSS to Hubdog, is the easiest way to click on the 'RSS' button and then when the XML page pops up, click the 'Dog It' button on the hubdog toolbar I have added to my PC IE? Is there an easier way - like if you stumble across an RSS feed when surfing on the Universal? Thanks for the help Confucious... Blakey
Guest Confucious
I trust you are using TCPMP rather than Beta Player? I've only used the Dog it button on PC IE - pity it's not available o the pocket IE version or Firefox - methinks a sugestion is in order.....
