Please could someone with a Motorola Q test this homescreen. I have not got one so I cannot test it myself. Please could you alsoo post a screenshot of it in action.. if it works

No need for a test anymore.. The skins is available to download in the new section of the download area for Moto Q skins

is it possible to rotate the screen in wm5 smartphone like it is in ppc? completely useless but can it be done?

Not that I know of. Its strange how the Q works with XML
The default width is set to 240 and the default height has to be set to 320 and instead of bgimage you use bgimage-rotated
