Low Ram

Hi all,

Had my M600 a while now and love it, I would find it hard to go back to a smartphone. I wish one handed texting was a bit easier but TenGo Thumb has helped a lot with this, anyone else tried it yet? Much better than the dialer and you really can use it one handed.

anyway the reason for my post is that I have had SPB Pocket Plus installed pretty much from day one and I have noticed that the little icon that shows available memory never really shows much more than 40%, even after a soft reset. Is this figure related to the number of programs installed, even if they are installed to the storage card or is it more to do with the number of programs running in the background.

I have noticed that even if I do a stop all in task manager it will never be as high as after a soft reset (which at 40 % still seems a tad low). Is it WM5 that is using the bulk of my program memory? I'd be interested to hear from others to see if this is on a par with other M600/Prophet users etc. Perhaps its all the bloody Orange Cabs that are installed after a soft reset. Are there any I can remove safely and easily that will give me back some of my memory?

Thanks in advance

Jeez man :D ... my RAM sits at 17 or 18% max after a soft reset. I think thats because of Wisbar Advance. You should be fine with 40%!
