Guest Wam7 Posted September 1, 2006 Report Share Posted September 1, 2006 I make a lot of use of calling cards; my calls are routed via another network/number i.e call 0800 113 2341 first then after a few seconds the number I want to call is automatically entered. I think they mean telephone services that allow them to call abroad for cheap. In London we have loads of companies that offer discounted telephone rates to various countries. Usually you have to phone the company's customer number, then enter your account number and pin, then the number you want to be connected to.. I use Alpha telecom myself. So I either dial simplyfone or yourcall and then it asks for a number. Is there a way to program in the second half of the string so that it automatically dials it. You can set up a calling card, with access number and verification number. if you need to. When you want to route your call via this rather than your normal mobile network then it's straight forward to select it via a small icon on the bottom of the screen. I liked older Sony Ericsson devices such as the T68 and T610/630 as they had a calling card feature built into the phone. Currently, I use the CCDialer software linked below and it works great on my HTC Tornado (Smartphone), Wizard (PPC Phone) and Hermes (PPC Phone). There is not a day that I don't go without using one of a few calling cards so this will help immensely. I might try a hard reset later to see if I did something that inadvertantly messed up the tones. (for me at least) Per http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...p;postcount=171 Never mind. Worked it out. For anyone with a similar problem, use the registry editor to locate the following key: HKLM,"Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL","EnableDTMFSupport",0x0 0010001,1 Change the value from 1 to a 0 and Bob's yer Uncle (for non-British readers that means everything will be cushty - see Only Fools and Horses for a contextual translation) Did this and I was able to manipulate my voicemail messages as normal. I am on O2UK. Have found no other bugs as yet. Many thanks to all who have put their time and effort into producing and testing this. HKLM = HKEY_lOCAL_MACHINE (under my device)..
