C550 - NO SOUND for Appointments - HELP !

Please Help, this is drivin me nut.

I have a C550 since 9/10 months. This thing first happened 6 months ago. Then again one week ago, then again tonight. Every six month may be acceptable, but every week.... this piece of crap would fly out of the window (2003se) :D

Well, this is the problem. I make a great use of agenda appointments and his sound alarms. I wrote all my appoint,emts - todo - to buy - etc on Outlook and then every day when I'm out, the phone "rings" at the given time. One day I realize, after missing one or two appointments, that it don't ring anymore.

This is not consequent to any human action... When the clock reach the exact time it should ring, nothing happens. if, in my homescreen I have appointments, I see that appointment disappear and the next come in. Obviously I check that the appointment has an alarm, that phone is not silent, that the ringin tone exist, etc etc.

But All seems ok. And there is NOTHING I can do to recover this malfunction (or I don't know it). The only thing that restores the sounds if format (hard reset) and this is VEEEERY annoying, since I have to reinstal all software, pair my GPS, my car handsfree, etc etc so I lose 2-3 hours.

Do you know WHY this thing happens ?

Do you know a ROM that fixes this ?

Do you know a way to solve that's faster the format and reinstall ?

Do you know a software that can make a FULL backup and a RELIABLE restore of my C550 on my PC ? Including installed softwares and their settings, including paired BT devices, including various phone setting as language, GPRS, email, sound files, homescreen ???

All I can say is that I've had the same problem, sometimes my appointments don't sound and I've even had the same problem with the alarm...

So you're not alone, but apart from rebooting or even hard resetting the phone I can't offer any solutions.
