Cingular 3125 Voice Tag Feature Does Not Work

I tried to set some voice tags on my Cingular 3125 but it failed everytime. Went back to Cingular in downtown Seattle (they're really great) and tried it on several other 3125s.

Seems to be a software bug/glitch. I wonder if they'll ever get it working and post an upgrade?

I had the same problem and found that if you can add a voice tag to a program without a problem. Also, it does sometimes work if you add the voice tag to the contact through "Add Speed Dial" menu option (it asks for an optional voice tag also).

I have no problem setting up a Voice Tag in a quiet environment, as long as there are some hard consonents in the word(s) being used.

However, they seem to be useless! Despite clear instruction in the Cingular manual about using the Voice Tags, there is no way to get the phone to respond! Pressing and holding the "Volume Down" key does nothing more than lowering the speaker volume.

Let's hope this doesn't become a repeat of the MPX200 mess where CIngular sells the phone on the basis of features they never implement.

i experienced the same thing and fixed the problem by waiting an extra second or two after the beep to speak my new voice tag and then it would save it and play it properly. try that. works fine
