Bluetooth headset volume control flipped

I just got an I-Mate Smartflip, and have paired my Motorola HS 810 bluetooth headset with it. However the volume control on the headset is flipped. The decrease volume button actually increases the volume, and the the increase button decreases.

Anyone know of a fix for this? Would deleting the pairing and setting up again fix the problem?

Thanks for the help.

Does the functionality change when you open the phone?

On my Qtek 8500 the volume buttons reverse their roles when you open and close the phone. That is to say with the phone open the top left button increases the volume but when the phone is closed that same button now decreases the volume.

I don't have a bluetooth headset but I'm guessing this could be what is causing it.
