Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 3, 2006 Report Share Posted November 3, 2006 Video: Paul's first video Hi All! :( I've been mulling over for a while whether we should do podcasts, videos, PUBcasts, MODcasts or anything at all, and i've not really come to a conclusion. Today however, MS emailed me to invite me to their 'soapbox' beta (think YouTube by MS). I thought 'what the hell, let's video some stuff', so I shot some video of some devices. Well, that was the plan, but I didn't get very far before my Camcorder battery ran out... arse! So here's a question... take a look at the video below, and let me know if you'd like to see more of the same! Gives you a lot better sence of how the device looks, maybe could do with being zoomed in a bit more also don't know was the quality of the video down to the camera or soap box? could be a bit sharper if its possible? nice 1st video cast :( keep 'em coming! gr PS- I also learned I've been pronouncing MoDaCo wrong all this time :rolleyes: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Your twirling of the unit was most useful as it removes any doubt as to how thick/thin the device actually is. Quality is fine, colours good enough to make out shading and the like so i would say its a must for future reviews. Weekly news roundups would get a bit of a labour so i wouldn't make a video aspect too regular but for Article-based material its the next step surely...? The latter would mean your attention is not on the devices and might make take away the natural flow of your voice. How easy would it be to edit in video screenshots ?
