After several days of use on the Samsung Blackjack Smartphone, it turns out that the QWERTY Keyboard requires special interpretation by each software vendor in order for it to work properly.

For example, in Photo Contacts, Agenda One, and other programs where you can "search", the keyboard is sending numeric buttons only to the software.  So if you press the 1/E key, only the number 1 can be sent.  E will never register.  This is not on all 3rd party applications, so far it looks like about 30% of what I have installed/tested have been effected.

DeveloperOne.com who make Agenda One, have quickly addressed this issue with a patched released and it works.  In a thread on their forums, they've stated that this is not a global setting but specific to each application.

So if you're thinking about the Blackjack, know that each software manufacturer is going to have to put out an update specific for this device... unless Samsung can correct it.
