Having never ever liked Motorola phones, and despising the V3 since release, I thought very little about the V3x when it was announced.

Infact, every member of staff at our branch hates motos.

So this morning when I rolled into work, I was told we had a new Demo phone: A V3x.

me being the reasonable chap I am, decided to give it a chance and see if it really is as good as my friends on 3 have led me to believe.

AND MY GOD, is it a good phone!

I can put my hands down and say this is one of the best phones moto have ever created - bravo chaps!

Anyone here have one? have any tips you wanna share with us?

Totally agree. Hated Moto's until I stumbled upon this one day in a mobile shop, it has all the style of the V3x (apart from the fact that its 6mm thicker, which doesn't bother me), but also has most of the features of my 6680 and other smartphones I've owned! The only thing I'm disappointed with is the lack of a file browser, which I had hoped someone could develop for the phone. Anyways, it has a big thumbs up from me!

It would be nice to have a file browser like the S60 phones, but I think most moto users wouldn't find much use for it over the default Gallery app.

Wouldn't it be nice if they designed a S60 phone inside the V3's shell? :)

' date='Feb 11 2006, 19:49' post='480']I'd love to see the RAZR with a decent OS!

Maybe that's what we'll get from the Q series?

P

one can only hope: if that thing ever gets released.

Liking the look of the Nokia E61 though, may be a decent Q rival!

Can anyone tell me if the V3x gives the option to store postal addreses and post codes? Having missed this feaure on the v3, I went back to my smart phone. As a SatNav user Postodes etc are kinda useful in your phone! I quite fancy a V3x..... :)

I have a D600 as my personal phone. Having used the V3x I'd say its a nice alternative to the D600 but its just too big in my opinion (I dropped the N90 in favour of the D600. Not literally, of course :)).

i read a lot good thing about this phone, but in every test, the battery life was to short...

Having used it exclusively over the past 3 days of work, I've only charged it once, and that was for the initial charge. I tend to use it a lot to call through contracts and upgrades, and so far it looks like its not as bad as my N90 was.

I just crystallised a V3x for a client and I must say, it is a bit too chunky! I've been carrying a Razr in the past 6 months and I am not sure if I would like to have this thing around all the time...

but if you guys are so happy with the software of it, may be it is a good buy.... never happy with V3 because of its appalling contents.

by the way, how is this phone different from V3i? been preparing some of those for CeBIT and it is a very pretty phone. The display much bigger than V3... (I wonder what for, as the actual display is still very small) The metallic case is sexy!

Ayano
