Don't you get an SMS once a week with your balance on? Edit: You Do, I should say.

Apart from that, its by calling 150, or through the website I believe

I usually check it in My T-Mobile either from PC or phone... once bookmarked it's only a couple of clicks.

Not sure if this is still needed but there's an application called Todget that gives you a simple interface which allows you to request not only your balance but also any allowances. This works not just for flext but also payg and even lets contract customers know what their current bill is.

I should say, so that no-one thinks I'm trying to be cheeky, that this is an application written by myself... so if this is seen as spamming then please remove. Of course it does completely do what was asked and is free. I really would like any feedback on the app and hope to add some extra functions (flash SMS, SMS-Email, enabling/disabling the 'who called' feature etc) in the near future.

So has anyone tried this?
I'm just putting the finishing touches to the next release and would like to include as many suggestions as possible.

Yes

You can text AL for your remaing allowance
BA for your bill

Text these in capitals to 150, the text usually comes back straight away

Cheers

Just a note... you don't need to use capitals.
