Guest grumpy_old_technobyte
I went to the mall and played with the Dash. It is really smooth, the backing has a rubbery velvet touch. Now im in a toss up between it or the new samsung i607. Both have the same screen size but the dash looks so much nicer. My question is if anybody has tried smartphone GPS software on it yet. Which ones work?
Guest grumpy_old_technobyte
Ok, did a little more searching and found that CoPilot Live 6 for smartphone supports it. Probably the samsung i607(Blackjack) too. Here's the link: http://www.alk.com/copilot/smartphone.asp
Guest Jason Coleman
That's pretty cool looking, but at those price points I personally don't see that as a more attractive option then a dedicated stand alone hand held GPS unless you are really desparate to reduce your gadget ratio. Guest 2phast
I run TomTom Mobile 5.2x on my Dash, works great. Using a Holux GPSslim bluetooth GPS receiver.
Guest rope
I run TomTom Mobile 5.2x on my Dash, works great. Can confirm that. Full-screen!!! A little bit crippled menus, but absolutely readable. I have a German O2 XDA Cosmo which is more like the original HTC S620 than the Dash (no XT9 Text, very few branding, ...) The only thing is the input of addresses in TT. Only letters which don't have assigned a number, work as expected. The others are like multitap (1-9 -> WER, SDF, XCV). So if you want to type a "W" you have to hit "9" 1 time instead, "E" is 2 times "3", "R" is 3 x "7" and so on
Guest bikekowal
I've already bought TT Mobile 6 and it's quite good. My GPS receiver is GlobalSat BT 359.
Guest Thomas Winterman
Hi, i got the org. HTC S620. TomTom installation no problem. keyboard works fine. here comes the problem: i can't choose the COM Port in TomTom. There are now buttons to go up and down. does anyone now how to fix this problem? Please don't say : use a fake cursor or something like that (they don't work) thanks a lot. Thomas Otherwise i love the S620 - used to have an MDA Compact but the s620 is just so much lighter and easier to type on.

That's how I've been able to run this on my Dash.

Guest Romeo029
I've already bought TT Mobile 6 and it's quite good. My GPS receiver is GlobalSat BT 359. Just wanted to know where you bought it. I just bought a T-mobile Dash and I'm looking for a GPS that actually works before I spend the money. Thanks. :)
Guest sahli
I use TomTom 5.2 on my Dash. Unbranded. Works perfect also using the TOMTOM Bluetooth reciever. I have also Wayfinder installed. Personally the Wayfiinder App is easier to transfer to other devices if you are the type of person who switches devices a lot like me. Whereas Tomtom is bound on the device with a unique code for the device only. Makes it impossible to transfer without have interaction with Tomtom support Wayfinder and tomtom are both good solutions. Tomtom is more sexy as it is an onboard navigation and Wayfinder downloads the maps using GPRS EDGE on the fly. So there you need a good gprs plan. Guest grumpy_old_technobyte
Im thinking that the Telenav Navigator would work on the s620 also. I was at their site recently and noticed the phones supported included the i607. It works on all the other HTC phones including my 3125. If you already have a Data Plan, it only costs $9.99 for unlimited routes per month. These are live maps that are updated all the time and include local searches too. http://www.telenav.com/
