Any costs of receiving it?
There appears to be so - on my November 2006 bill (when I installed M:Metrics), I was billed for 94p worth of out-of-allowance usage, two for text messages from odd 07 numbers which I can't figure out, but three lots of 17p charges from an American number which belongs to Media Metrics:
6 Nov Mon 15:11 001425 2461806 Intl 0.170
6 Nov Mon 15:13 001425 2461806 Intl 0.170
6 Nov Mon 16:14 001425 2461806 Intl 0.170
The reason for the two charges around 15:11 and 15:13 are (I presume) because I got sent a text message with the download link, and then as an experiment I clicked the "send me my download link via sms" AGAIN to see if it would give me the same url.
However, I can't explain the third charge, maybe it was my phone SENDING the text message back to M:Metrics as it says it does... Anyways, it's nothing really compared to the £15 postal order I received through the post (nice little christmas gift!) but I'm a little miffed that I wasn't told about these charges beforehand.
The money eases the pain, though...

As you point out, 17p x 3 out of 15 quid ain't bad, but i'd rather get rid of that cost altogether

I have an spvc550 and am getting the unable to install message. Looking at the cab file it says sp5 wich runs wm5. I changed my phone type to spvc500 on there sign up page and it installed first time, will wait to see if its worked.

I'll definitely raise that with support, as we've never heard of that before!

Thanks, I'll try the C500's cab and see what happens...

I signed up mid December (14th to be precise) and have the software running since then. I've upload 82KB of data in December, according to the client software. However, I've not received any payment yet from M:Metrics. I did contact their support department via the web-site but no response.
Has anybody else been signed up for this long without having received any payment?
Thanks.

So does that mean that those of us who aren't Plus members aren't eligible for the competition?
Also, like Saquib, I signed up mid December and haven't received anything - My activity log reports data for both December and January, so it seems to be working.
