any idea how to edit off or rename the operator name? i am using dopod s300... anyway my country operator name is toooooo long until it covers my date and time... this suxxssss

Using a Registry Editor go to the following path:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RIL\OperatorNames]

There add a string value named with your network number. (more info)
Then change the value to the name preferred.

For example: I live in Greece and I am on TIM. So my string value name must be 20210!

hhmmpp... sooo when i reaches [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RIL\OperatorNames]
i see 2 things in my phone
46697 and 52099

under 46697 i have taiwan mobile
under 52099 i have true...

so which should i edit??? i am from malaysia but i got taiwan mobile.... i am a bit confused

If you got Taiwan Mobile, then you should edit that name!
