The forthcoming O2 XDA Graphite Smartphone is now official... with a 'coming soon' post on the SeeO2.com website!

Specs of the Asus-sourced device look rather sexy, including:
  • Processor: Intel XScale® PXA 270 Processor at 416 MHz
  • Memory: 128 MB Flash ROM + 64 MB RAM
  • Cameras: 2 Megapixels CMOS Fixed-focus camera with White LED strobe flash + secondary VGA camera
  • for video calls
  • Radio: Tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 GPRS + WCDMA 2100^
  • WiFi: 802.11b/g
  • Display: 2.2" QVGA
  • Size: 109.5mm x 46.9mm x 18mm
  • Weight: 105g
  • Standby: 200 hours
  • Talk time up to 4 hours

There's a few interesting items on the included software list too...
    • O2 AutoConfig
    • O2 Connect
    • O2 Menu
    • Cyberon Voice Commander
    • ClearVue™ Document Viewer
    • Code Wallet® Pro
    • GPRS Monitor
    • Jeyo SMS Backup
    • PDF Viewer
    • Self Diagnostics
    • Zip tool
    • Not a bad set of additional software by all accounts.

No officialword on a release date yet, but I understand a late January release is currently planned. I'm looking forward to putting it through it's paces, that's for sure :D

damn nice spec! wonder will it be available sim free from the like of imate??

Isn't imate owned by HTC? (or one of the directors) so I doubt if they'll be doing non HTC phones.

Nope imate is not owned in anyway by HTC and they are already doing non HTC devices since HTC started going it alone as such with their new devices.
