As per title,

How do you make shortcuts to Shutdown and Restart?

I did not think you could do it on a Windows mobile device

but here is how you do it on an XP PC

Shut down - --- make a short cut and past this in the( %windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -s -t 01 )

Reboot - ( %windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -r -t 1 )

Make sure that the shoutdown.exe is in the system32 directory for that to work.

If you type shutdown ? into the command line you can get all the option switch details so you can do all sorts of neat tricks with the shutdown command.

Hope this helps

Yeah I've done all this for my home machine

there are WM programs that have restart and shutdown commands in them (MemMaid for instance) so it is possible

In \Windows there is PowerOffWarning.exe which you can make a shortcut to, but this pops up the 'Device will be off blah blah' warning first

What I really want are one-click shortcuts...

Due to a site rebuild these items have moved...

If there's enough interest I will develop them more.

You can now find them in my new downloads section here
