I'm not sure if I'm doing this right but its pretty frustrating so far.

Here is what I'm doing:
1) Phone is off
2) Press and Hold both soft keys
3) Press and Hold the Power button for 1-2 seconds
4) Release Power Button
5) Release Soft Keys
Note: I've tried 4 and 5 in reverse order

Does the Hard Reset Menu appear before the T-Mobile Splash Screens?  Is my sequence/timings right?

All help is greatly appreciated!

keep holding the softkeys after you release the power. it will give you a prompt to hard reset.

Perfect, that's exactly what I needed to know ... everywhere else its written that I release the softkeys not the power key.

The soft keys are the two keys that have the - symbol on them by the send and cancel keys
